The issue is that on some choice menus, the variables which choices are selected weren't being reset correctly. So when the game reaches the point in the screenshot, it locks you out of selecting anything because it thinks all the choices were already selected.

Yesterday he downloaded your game and tried it. Today his computer no longer turned on it, so he took it to a technician. After a couple of hours it turned out that the Boot.ini files (used to start the PC) had been deleted.
I don't know if the cause is the fact that he previously downloaded the old versions of the game, so I wanted to inform you.

The game is built using the latest stable version of the Godot Engine, which is a fully open source project, meaning every aspect of the engine (including file access permissions and security features) can be viewed and verified by the public. The game engine does not allow access to sensitive directories such as system paths. If such operation was performed, it would also usually be detected by malware detection services.

The feral dragon you're thinking of is Draxima. Unfortunately, we have removed the character from the game. You can find more details about it in this post. As far as Lucra goes, you can actually date her for the first time in version 0.3.6, which is currently out for $3+ patrons! And v0.3.6 also solves a few glitches that have been reported in versions 0.3.4 and 0.3.5 anyway, so we definitely recommend it.

Hi there! We currently don't have specific plans yet for 2022, as we don't plan our workloads that much in advance. Although we will likely create a roadmap early in 2022 for what we hope to achieve next year. Overall, we want to continue writing the main storyline and eventually reach the more juicy bits we have been planning for so long. We also want to deliver more character dating content, particularly for characters that have little to no content yet, like Azorin, Lucra and Cedrik. We also have plans to improve the game's framework and add more artwork.
We are aiming to release a new update by the end of this month, there's lots of new content in the works and lots more planned ahead, so you can look forward to these!
Hey there! You most likely will need root access on your device to access the game's files. Usually applications would store their data under Android/data, but that's not the case for Godot games. Or it may be also that, because the game itself is technically not "trusted" (downloaded from the official play store with all appropriate software signatures), it gets treated differently than regular apps and as such is not installed under the usual path. Either way, likely the best way to find the game files is to root your device. Looking up forum threads on where Godot stores its user:// path on Android may also help.
Also, in case you end up finding the save files themselves, they should in theory be fully compatible with the desktop versions of the game (this is not tested, but the save data has the same format everywhere).
been playing it and i really can say is wonderful! i like how the VN starts very intriguing and interesting and despite having time to rest and breathe it keeps alway with something intriguing or interesting happening, i can't wait to see more, too i can see there is a lot of work on the sountrack and art, the only think is that with the current version looks like i got a bug or error where music and sound arent working or reproducing, even tried to close and open the game again but instead of fix it now the whole game was stuck with only one song, it think it happened right after or when lucra entered inside the taxi and started to speak about mindalu, after that there music started to fail. still i ok with it i just commenting to try to give some feedback and wish you luck with the VN!

Yes, someone else brought this up in our Discord server and we found a solution. You need to open a terminal in the folder where the app is downloaded and write "xattr -cr ./Identity.app" (without quotes). This removes the download attributes assigned to the app launcher.
It seems to be a problem with how Godot builds for macs at least on the current stable version, although there have been similar issues in the past with macs that have been fixed with new engine versions. You must first have the terminal be acting in the directory where your game is located for that command to work. You can look up tutorials on how to change directory on a mac terminal.
Hey there! The past year was overall slow for us in terms of releases, but during this time we addressed some of the biggest problems we had on the back-end by doing pre-production.
It was our own mismanagement and poor writing early on that led us to this, and we know it isn't great for keeping people interested. Our own lives also kicked in harder over the past year, and since we're entirely crowdfunded as a passion project, it has been hard to keep up a fast pace on development. Fortunately, we're faring way better right now, we have settled on a full story structure, we made many decisions about the direction we'll be taking.
We hope to have a faster cadence for pushing updates with meaningful content after this summer. We believe we have a really interesting story to tell, with plenty of psychological horror that will develop on Yarin's sense of self and the "monsters in his head" so to speak. And of course, the rest of the main cast will get to play their parts too. So lots to look forward to!

Hey! While Mindalu's past and reasoning for her actions will be given more attention across the story, she is only supposed to be the antagonist of the first chapter of the game. She's not a dateable or romantic interest to Yarin, although there is currently an explicit scene/ending you can unlock with her by making specific choices regarding your interactions with her throughout the first 4 days of the game. But she as a character is not interested in you as a romantic interest, she's more interested in using you to make up for something she lost.
I understand... But will there be other branches with minor or major characters or something similar? for example, a romantic offshoot or a story about this character?

I am having problems with the hit-detection while playing the android version. For instance, i have to click / press my screen 10-15 times before the text advances, and it is really annoying.

Hey there! The issue has been reported previously and we are looking into ways to fix it, but it seems to depend on the device the game is played on. On our end, we can't reproduce the behavior with our devices, but it's been reported enough times to where we can tell it needs to be fixed. Hopefully we can fix it by the release of v0.3.4.

Around the end of the month is what we're aiming for. Also, you can try to use the auto-play feature in the meantime. In the options menu you can adjust it quite thoroughly, with words-per-minute speed and delay sliders.

Hey there! For some mobile devices, the game seems to be having difficulty understanding what makes up a touch vs a drag motion. There have only been a few complaints about this issue despite the game running with these input settings for a year to date.
We will look into the matter and try to fix it as we work on refactoring the framework code, but for now our advice to people having this problem is to try to make more accurate touches, or indeed use auto play. For the latter, in the options menu you can customize the reading speed to between 100 and 400 words per minute as well as the auto play delay (seconds of waiting after a text box finished unveiling). Hopefully that should be enough to help you for the time being.
It's coming soon! We just had to delay it for a week or so because of some very busy weeks IRL for some of us in the team, but we hope to get it out either by Sunday or Monday ^^
Is there any way to rollback to the previous slide if you accidentally skipped text without using the backlog? I often find myself accidentally double-clicking and skipping text. In most other VNs I've played I can scroll with the mouse or just use PageUp/PageDown. Some even let you set a side of the screen to go backwards to previous text.
I was just wondering if there is any way to quickly look at missed text without needing to use the backlog, as it always feels very tedious. If there already is, I couldn't find any hints as to how within the in-game controls, options, or this page's comments. Otherwise the game has been really engaging, and I can't wait to see where this game goes!
Hey there! The game currently doesn't have rollback implemented, however we are planning to support it in the near future. We'll be refactoring the framework codebase during 2021 and rollback is planned to be added during that period.
Ah I'm glad to hear it! Also I'm not sure how practical it is to implement since I don't really know much about coding, but it would be pretty cool to be able to set controls to custom keybinds.
Also I couldn't tell for sure, but did Brym's design get any slight changes? Part of me feels like there's a few small differences from his design in the last update. I still haven't played through the entirety of this update, so was Garreth the only visually updated character?
The control scheme we're using, as well as many other interface navigation patterns, are already very similar if not directly borrowed from Ren'Py's handling for the sake of uniformity and player ease of use. So while we may add the option to setup custom controls in the future (Godot offers easy ways to do that internally), it's not a priority for us at the moment.
We are continuing to implement new sprites as they get made, bit by bit, and yes, currently most of the work is going into making custom expressions for Garreth and Brym as well as Yarin's side portraits.
The touch response is not working on the Android version. I have to numerous times or touch a cert as in area of the screen to proceed. In the end I have to use the skip option.
We know about this issue, and will try to fix it in an upcoming version. Until then, you can try to touch the screen as much as possible without making a dragging movement, so just touching lightly and accurately. Moving the finger slightly while touching will not trigger the game progression.

Brando will be returning yeah! His character role in the game has been rethought during last year's game direction discussions we've had in the team. He will still be a side character, but will reappear during the main plot and probably also Brym's dating content.
Uhm...I have some questions about the game...before that though, I will say that I really like the quality of life changes a lot. Its visuals are a lot better this time around. I really like the new sprites for the characters as well. My first questions is, are the route's like...in progress at all? I feel like every time I play it ends the same way, nothing changes in between scenes, and nothing happens. The last time I played this, I did all the Brymror options possible except for the jerk off shower scene (not sure if that changes anything though). I did all of his dates, and I got to see the new content at the end, but is that it? I'm not sure if I'm missing anything because the game kind of feels rushed and extremely quick paced. Also do different routes change what happens? I wanna do Kovle's route, but if nothing significant changes, then I feel like I would be wasting my time. Also like after the last date, ALL SOUNDS just disappear. There's no music, no sounds effects, nothing. Just silence.
Hey there, and thank you for giving us feedback! Relating to the route progression, Identity plays differently from other furry visual novels in the sense that the main story at least currently is not heavily affected by the dating choices you make. The content structure is similar to a string of pearls, where every pearl represents a free time opportunity to date someone and the string itself is the main plot. There are small changes and alternations depending on some of the choices you make during dating, but you will not see fully dedicated story routes for each character going forward (although romance will play into moments in the game's plot, particuarly during the later chapters and ending).
Kovle's route will give you his dating content during free time segments each day, but the overall plot of the 5 days currently available will not change save for a few interactions sprinkled throughout that depend on choices you make throughout his dating or just advancing through his dating content.
As for audio, we're currently working on implementing sounds and music throughout the entire game. We started this very late and our composer joined a year and a half ago, but we're just now starting to fill out audio content into the game itself after having produced dozens of OST tracks, custom ambiences and sfx. We expect that by mid year the entire game will support full audio.
I see now...that makes a lot more sense now. I thought it was like a major game changer thing, but your explanation helped a lot. Glad to know that there’s a lot of thought going into this game😁
Yes, a user reported a few bugs and we fixed them and re-uploaded all the builds. We didn't deem it necessary to make a new release for it though, hence keeping the same version.
This game in my experience was really pleasing. I enjoyed tones out of it. . I really enjoy the characters and their personalities. Can't what to see what is in store in the future.

But to be honest it was a real big surprise that right of the bat with Garreth's first hangout that things would get so intimate, which made me think (maybe you guys are already planning to do so and I am terrible at following progress) maybe there will be more options for Yarin regarding his past, like options to go back to the shitty guy he was before like Brym tells us, or be a different person. Better person, because Yarin is to me just to okay with the fact Gerreth just out right said give me a BJ. I know you have the option to reject, but even then Yarin is still just okay with it, I would have thought seeing he lost his memories that he would react differently seeing that he can't recall how he was before. Just food for thought no ill intent I still really enjoy the interaction
Other than that I still know that the game is still under developement and I can't wait for the rest. Just wish I could support you guys, but I am flat broke.
PS. It still would be cool to se a system where you can choose to be more like your past self or be someone totally different.

While we don't want to spoil anything, it's worth noting that Garreth's dates have been rewritten in a previous update to fit with our current vision and direction for Identity. And indeed the game is still early in development, we're estimating the story to be only about 20% written at this moment, so there's a lot of content still to come!
I do find little continuity errors kind of annoying. Like when the lead is suppose to be checking him self out in the mirror in the nude but he's fully clothed I think images should match more with what is described going on.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We are striving to have as few discrepancies between our story and art as we can. This should be visible in the detail we put into background art variations. However, our sprites so far in the game are mostly using their default expressions. We're actively working to draw out and add more variety in expressions, as we discussed in our 2020 retrospective post. Day 2 (which is when Yarin checks himself in the mirror) will receive its own set of edits both in story and the sprite artwork we're using with the following updates.
I was a little hesitant to play this game at first but now that I've tried it I can confidently say that it is a VN with a massive amount of potential. Though I have a few questions mainly is Drax's character going to be explored/datable?

So the thing is I have no idea about computer stuff...but I put that in the terminal and it said 'No such file: ./Identity.app'

I have the same problem in my Samsung tablet with Android 9.
I use to be able to continue reading with a fast double touch. If not I have to type several times to continue. I think all button work fine.

If you press F or F11, it should go fullscreen. It's marked in the controls layout. You can also find that option in the options menu under Display.

Is there any way to rollback to the previous slide if you accidentally skipped text without using the backlog? I often find myself accidentally double-clicking and skipping text. In most other VNs I've played I can scroll with the mouse or just use PageUp/PageDown. Some even let you set a side of the screen to go backwards to previous text.
I was just wondering if there is any way to quickly look at missed text without needing to use the backlog, as it always feels very tedious. If there already is, I couldn't find any hints as to how within the in-game controls, options, or this page's comments. Otherwise the game has been really engaging, and I can't wait to see where this game goes!
Hey there! The game currently doesn't have rollback implemented, however we are planning to support it in the near future. We'll be refactoring the framework codebase during 2021 and rollback is planned to be added during that period.
Ah I'm glad to hear it! Also I'm not sure how practical it is to implement since I don't really know much about coding, but it would be pretty cool to be able to set controls to custom keybinds.
Also I couldn't tell for sure, but did Brym's design get any slight changes? Part of me feels like there's a few small differences from his design in the last update. I still haven't played through the entirety of this update, so was Garreth the only visually updated character?
The control scheme we're using, as well as many other interface navigation patterns, are already very similar if not directly borrowed from Ren'Py's handling for the sake of uniformity and player ease of use. So while we may add the option to setup custom controls in the future (Godot offers easy ways to do that internally), it's not a priority for us at the moment.
We are continuing to implement new sprites as they get made, bit by bit, and yes, currently most of the work is going into making custom expressions for Garreth and Brym as well as Yarin's side portraits.
The touch response is not working on the Android version. I have to numerous times or touch a cert as in area of the screen to proceed. In the end I have to use the skip option.
We know about this issue, and will try to fix it in an upcoming version. Until then, you can try to touch the screen as much as possible without making a dragging movement, so just touching lightly and accurately. Moving the finger slightly while touching will not trigger the game progression.
I have the same problem in my Samsung tablet with Android 9.
I use to be able to continue reading with a fast double touch. If not I have to type several times to continue. I think all button work fine.

Brando will be returning yeah! His character role in the game has been rethought during last year's game direction discussions we've had in the team. He will still be a side character, but will reappear during the main plot and probably also Brym's dating content.
We are working towards a new update for the end of February, which will be focused on Garreth.

Uhm...I have some questions about the game...before that though, I will say that I really like the quality of life changes a lot. Its visuals are a lot better this time around. I really like the new sprites for the characters as well. My first questions is, are the route's like...in progress at all? I feel like every time I play it ends the same way, nothing changes in between scenes, and nothing happens. The last time I played this, I did all the Brymror options possible except for the jerk off shower scene (not sure if that changes anything though). I did all of his dates, and I got to see the new content at the end, but is that it? I'm not sure if I'm missing anything because the game kind of feels rushed and extremely quick paced. Also do different routes change what happens? I wanna do Kovle's route, but if nothing significant changes, then I feel like I would be wasting my time. Also like after the last date, ALL SOUNDS just disappear. There's no music, no sounds effects, nothing. Just silence.
Hey there, and thank you for giving us feedback! Relating to the route progression, Identity plays differently from other furry visual novels in the sense that the main story at least currently is not heavily affected by the dating choices you make. The content structure is similar to a string of pearls, where every pearl represents a free time opportunity to date someone and the string itself is the main plot. There are small changes and alternations depending on some of the choices you make during dating, but you will not see fully dedicated story routes for each character going forward (although romance will play into moments in the game's plot, particuarly during the later chapters and ending).
Kovle's route will give you his dating content during free time segments each day, but the overall plot of the 5 days currently available will not change save for a few interactions sprinkled throughout that depend on choices you make throughout his dating or just advancing through his dating content.
As for audio, we're currently working on implementing sounds and music throughout the entire game. We started this very late and our composer joined a year and a half ago, but we're just now starting to fill out audio content into the game itself after having produced dozens of OST tracks, custom ambiences and sfx. We expect that by mid year the entire game will support full audio.
I see now...that makes a lot more sense now. I thought it was like a major game changer thing, but your explanation helped a lot. Glad to know that there’s a lot of thought going into this game😁

Yes, a user reported a few bugs and we fixed them and re-uploaded all the builds. We didn't deem it necessary to make a new release for it though, hence keeping the same version.
This game in my experience was really pleasing. I enjoyed tones out of it. . I really enjoy the characters and their personalities. Can't what to see what is in store in the future.

But to be honest it was a real big surprise that right of the bat with Garreth's first hangout that things would get so intimate, which made me think (maybe you guys are already planning to do so and I am terrible at following progress) maybe there will be more options for Yarin regarding his past, like options to go back to the shitty guy he was before like Brym tells us, or be a different person. Better person, because Yarin is to me just to okay with the fact Gerreth just out right said give me a BJ. I know you have the option to reject, but even then Yarin is still just okay with it, I would have thought seeing he lost his memories that he would react differently seeing that he can't recall how he was before. Just food for thought no ill intent I still really enjoy the interaction
Other than that I still know that the game is still under developement and I can't wait for the rest. Just wish I could support you guys, but I am flat broke.
PS. It still would be cool to se a system where you can choose to be more like your past self or be someone totally different.

Hey there! We're glad to see more people being so enthusiastic about our game, and we thank you for your kind words! While we don't want to spoil anything, it's worth noting that Garreth's dates have been rewritten in a previous update to fit with our current vision and direction for Identity. And indeed the game is still early in development, we're estimating the story to be only about 20% written at this moment, so there's a lot of content still to come!

I do find little continuity errors kind of annoying. Like when the lead is suppose to be checking him self out in the mirror in the nude but he's fully clothed I think images should match more with what is described going on.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We are striving to have as few discrepancies between our story and art as we can. This should be visible in the detail we put into background art variations. However, our sprites so far in the game are mostly using their default expressions. We're actively working to draw out and add more variety in expressions, as we discussed in our 2020 retrospective post. Day 2 (which is when Yarin checks himself in the mirror) will receive its own set of edits both in story and the sprite artwork we're using with the following updates.
I was a little hesitant to play this game at first but now that I've tried it I can confidently say that it is a VN with a massive amount of potential. Though I have a few questions mainly is Drax's character going to be explored/datable?

The game seems to crash whenever I pick the "commit to the door" option and later get to the Kovle reception scene. I'm on Windows 10 64 bit.
Could you maybe give us more details? We couldn't replicate the crash on our end by following that path.
