Version 0.3.4

Good early summer to everybody~

We have some more news to deliver to you, as we had announced on our discord server. There are some cool guys who hang out there, and the developers also put out a few more smaller updates there occasionally.

Like, us announcing that we are currently trying to involve a third writer into working on Identity. His name is Gherod and he is quite a capable writer. You can check out his contributions to the game Flexible Survival, of which there is a lot of gay, but also more fetish-driven stuff over there.

Why did we just bring up fetishes? No particular reason, of course~

But in all seriousness, while Lone_Wanderer announced that he would finish writing a new Cedrik date last month, he's been organizing the story with Gherod and Vinickus and had to shift his focus towards writing a proper game design document and lots of internal documentation. We would say that we are about 40% done with it. This includes planning out *everything* that will be in the game from start to finish and we already have several scenes for the final acts planned out.

Our act structure isn't finished yet, but that mostly comes down to us having to decide where some acts might fit better. The documentation has helped stir more internal discussions about decision-making; even though you will only see the results of it within the upcoming months, May has overall been pretty good for the project.

Story changes

Now... we won't leave you with nothing of course; we do have a build for you. We made more changes to days 4 and 5, matching the edits of the previous days but also adding a few more subtle things to it. We also made changes to other days, including day 1 following feedback that a reader had given us.

Brymror's first date has been integrated into day 3, so it's a scene you will always see now. We will most likely also put his current third date into the main plot since, from a writer's perspective, he is the one and only anchor you have to Nyrok's past, and he is the best character to give you this revelation of what you were like. There will of course be more of a follow-up on this in the future, but no other way to reveal who you were would be as good as Brymror's reactions towards you. His content is just that crucial to the main character's development that we felt that this was really the best way to go at it.

But don't worry, we will be adding extra scenes for him to hang out in dates. They will most likely be more casual, but you will still get to cuddle with the big teddy after the emotional confessions~

Programming changes

There aren't just story changes, though. Wattson has been hard at work to refactor the audio backend of the game's framework. It should fix whatever audio issues/glitches we have now and it will offer a lot more opportunities for use in future development. The best thing about these framework changes? They are all backwards-compatible! So, your save files will still be valid to use in this build.

Changes were also made to the way patrons are displayed within the credits. You are now properly ranked according to your highest lifetime donation tier, so you can now see who our "True Believers" or "Dreamers" are.

Other than all of this, we also fixed an issue where screen taps wouldn't be registered on some Android devices. So yes, if you had to tap a lot of times to progress the game, it wasn't because of you tapping too lightly, it was our game that wanted more of your attention.

Download mirrors for this release are linked on this Patreon post. For a pledge of just $3 a month, you'll get early access to the latest builds 2 months before they go public, your name in the credits of our game and access to our Discord community server!

Anyway, let us know what you think about the changes in this new build, and enjoy the start of a great summer!
