Version 0.3.5

Good evening everyone,

It is time. After more than a year we have a new day to push the story further. Albeit, one may discover quite a bit of familiar content within the day. As we announced before, we are moving the current Brym dates to become main story content. So, day 6 contains what was Brym's second date as main-line content. The reason why we are doing this is because he reveals quite a lot about you in the past, and also the reason why he was so rough to you.

We would have needed to reveal those bits of information anyway, the question was just if we make these dates main-line content or try to convey the pieces of information differently. We came to the conclusion that Brymror serves as the best candidate to reveal things about the past, elevating him to a level of a second main character.

This isn't to say that a romance path with him will be forced, but the significance Nyrok had to him in the past is important to his development. Brymror will also get a new set of dates to replace the void that is being left behind: his current third date will also be moved into day 7. That said, Brym's new dates have yet to be written. So, at present, he will be unavailable during the dating segments.

While on the topic of old content, there was another change: As we announced, Draxima is departing from the game, so his scene has been removed. It will be replaced with another scene in the same spot, however it has not been written yet. We will let you know in the future, of course, when that replacement scene is finished. It will most likely feature Bio's character to be more prominent during that scene.

However, there's plenty of content that is new in day 6. Marking the debut of another character we had planned for years. Some of you may have seen him already, if they had data-mined the game, since we had assets of him within the game files. But he is the same boy you can see in the thumbnail for this post. The assets for him have also been finished for many months already; we hope you enjoy his appearance.

These are the writing changes so far, and we also have Lucra's first date and Brym's new first date also almost finished writing-wise. They are now going to be put into the pipeline of the implementation.

Programming-wise we removed the music room, which will see a UI rework. We will add it back into the game after this rework is finished in the future. However, audio has been catching up more and has been added all the way throughout to day 5. Day 6 still has yet to be scored.

Finally, Garreth has received a number of new sprites, which have been sprinkled around the existing and new content. And Yarin's side images have been added to more places in the game as well.

Download mirrors for this release are linked on this Patreon post. For a pledge of just $3 a month, you'll get early access to the latest builds 2 months before they go public, your name in the credits of our game and access to patron-only channels in our Discord community server!

That all said, we hope you all enjoy the new update. Our production pipeline has finally started to pick up steam again. While we've had to cut some things for this update, we're excited to be moving the story forward and are endlessly thankful for your patience. We have a lot planned and hope you all look forward to future developments.

Changelog

- Added day 6.
- Merged Brymror's original dates with the main storyline. New dates for him will be introduced in the future, but the option to date him will be disabled until they are written.
- Draxima's meetup scene has been removed from day 2. Future update will have replacement for this scene.
- Added new Garreth sprites and more Yarin side images throughout the story.
- Added full audio support up through day 5.
- Removed the music room temporarily until it receives a proper UI.

Notes:
- When loading a save, you may encounter audio playback inconsistencies. We are working on a broader refactor of core game systems that should fix these problems while adding more features.

If I can give my honest opinion, the horror scenes in the game are scary only the first time you see them. So I think removing Draxima from the game is both a tragic waste and a useless thing.
